5 December 2023

Ipswich Green Party warmly invites you to our festive social on Tuesday December 19th at The Green Room Café, IP4 2BS. Join us from 6.30pm for mulled wine and mince pies, and meet your local Green candidates, fellow local Green Party members and supporters for a relaxed celebration of the past year. All welcome - and free mince pies for everyone who books!

Book a place & reserve your mince pie

We’re also delighted to welcome Jane Basham as our speaker for the evening. She’ll be giving a short talk at around 7pm on her experiences volunteering with Care4Calais in the refugee camps on the French border, where around 3,000 refugees are stuck – men women and children. They have no roof above their head, no hot or cold running water, no sanitary provision, and suffer increasingly brutal evictions by the police. Jane will talk about the people she met, the impact volunteering had, and her thoughts about solutions.

As part of this evening we invite members to bring along donations for Care4Calais. In particular, warm, decent, clean waterproof winter coats (majority for men/boys) are desperately needed. Other decent, clean, warm clothes are also welcome. If you do not have clothes then donations of tea, coffee, hot chocolate, sugar, and biscuits are also useful.

We look forward to seeing many you on the 19th. If you are planning on attending please do RSVP using the button above or contact campaigns@ipswich.greenparty.org.uk
