Introducing David Plowman - Green Candidate for Alexandra Ward

We are pleased to introduce David Plowman, the Green Party candidate for Ipswich Alexandra Ward in the upcoming May 2024 election. David is dedicated to promoting sustainability and environmental consciousness in Ipswich. He believes that addressing climate change should be a top priority for the local community. With his experience and involvement in various local organisations, David is committed to tackling local issues and shaping a better future for Ipswich.

David grew up in Ipswich and is now retired, allowing him, in his own words, to “fully enjoy the best of Ipswich”. He actively contributes to the local community as a governor of an Ipswich primary school, trustee of the Phoenix Project, and by collecting donations at Portman Road for Fans Supporting FoodBanks. Additionally, he is a proud season ticket holder for ITFC.

Some of David’s work in the community was recently featured on BBC news, when Ipswich and Norwich fans were asked to help food banks in rival areas.

David believes that the climate should be at the center of all policies. He is enthusiastic about addressing local issues within the Alexandra ward and providing a vision for the future of Ipswich. A Green voice in the room can provide an effective opposition to the Labour council and help build a better Ipswich for all. Vote for David in May and help us elect the first Green councillor in Ipswich!

If you have any questions, ideas, or feedback, feel free to reach out to David via email at David.Plowman@ipswich.greenparty.org.uk, or the Ipswich Green Party coordinators at coordinator2@ipswich.greenparty.org.uk.
